Sneaking in under the wire for February (aren’t you glad we got an extra day?) is Pattie Curry. Nominated by a previous nominee Donna Rogers Skowronski – Donna says:
I have known Pattie for almost two decades. I met her first through our local SHRM chapter. She was an active member who I saw potential for leadership in and first recommended her for our Membership Director position. She went on to be the chapter President and later served two different roles on the ILSHRM board. She has hired me at two of her past employers and I just did work for her latest employer via our local community college workforce development department. She is such a professional in every way both the companies she has worked at as well as through her volunteer activities. I don’t always get the pleasure of knowing a volunteers work experience but having had some firsthand experience with her interactions with management and her superiors I can definitely say she has made a difference in so many lives and organizations.I also know she is a proud mother and a cancer survivor. She is so very deserving of this award.
Pattie is also a SPHR, SHRM-SCP and holds an MBA degree in business.
I can only say – it takes one to know one – so thanks Donna for nominating Pattie and congratulations!
